Chris liberator is one of these true greats, who for over 20 years has made a massive impact on the world wide techno scene as a flawless DJ with a killer dance floor style which is always delivered with an irrepressible smile.

So many of us have special memories of Chris, whether it was one of his amazing techno sets or just having a chat about music and life with a man who always has time for you.

DJ Spliffy B started DJing at squat parties in 2000 around Dorset and Hampshire, such as Hursley Fields. He then started playing in clubs in 2002. Between 2002 and 2008 Spliffy was playing in various places mainly in squat parties around UK. In that time he did play a few sets in Germany, and Belgium supporting international names such as Chris Liebing, Joey Beltram, Nicky Blackmarket & Mampi Swift

In 2004 Spliffy B amongst other events he was promoting he promoted DNA with DJ Slimz. DNA was a hard house and drum n bass event based in the Firestation in Dorchester, Dorset.

Between 2008 and 2011 due to personal reasons he only played a few sets, one of which was on Weymouth Beach.

In 2011 he played a set in Netherlands. Since then Spliffy B has started promoting and DJing again. Spliffy B is currently a resident of:

★Urban Chill (Live acoustic event with a blues\jazz\folk influence)

The SAFEWORD Collective host their first London-based party with guests Sterling Moss (Stay Up Forever) and Jeff Amadeus (Squat Records) at the legendary Club 414 in Brixton’s Coldharbour Lane.

Sterling Moss helped the SAFEWORD Collective celebrate their 1st birthday in Belfast back in December 2012, and they are delighted to have him launching their 1st party in London. In addition, the collective are excited to announce that Jeff Amadeus will be joining the line-up. Jeff is well-known and respected for his 3 deck wizardry and explosive techno sets, recently featuring in FACT Magazine’s ‘100 underrated DJs’ article.

The SAFEWORD Collective DJs will be playing their usual mix of dancefloor-fuelled techno, bass and acid. Expect an action-packed night filled with everything from pounding grooves to screaming 303s!

This month’s Rebel Yelle Show rounds off 2014 with a girlz on decks session showcasing new female force on the underground party block.. Leyla P, who’s DJ roots lay in old skool hardcore, but nowadays she is rather partial to a bit of Acid Techno. So tonight I’m showcasing this new and up & coming female force and together we’ll be spinning vinyl, playing all things acid house and acid techno!!!

Leyla P is an up and coming female force behind the decks currently playing Techno and Acid Techno on the London underground party circuit. But her passion for music and DJ’ing began way back in the early 90’s, playing old skool hardcore every Sunday on the pirate radio station Energy FM based in south London.

These DJ Sunday sessions lasted two years, 1992-1994, and soon led her to play on the London free party scene circuit in the mid to late 90’s for sound systems such as Vox Populi (one of the original free party sound systems), Underground Sounds and Manik.

Around this time, she also played old skool hardcore at a couple of Spiral Tribe parties and had a guest slot playing at Turnmills night club, which was buzzing in the late 90’s.

After a few twists and turns in life, Leyla moved to Spain and went in a different direction. But over the years that DJ itch kept returning and on her return to the UK, Leyla finally rekindled her passion for the music and returned to the wheels of steel.

Over the last year she has been back on the London underground party circuit spinning vinyl nearly every weekend for sound systems such as E1S and Hackney Sounds and loving every minute!!
