Acid909 Acid Techno Event: Acid Halloween
In the 4th Acid909 Acid Techno Event they will be playing the best in Techno with Gizelle Rebel Yelle, DJ Spliffy B, Judda and Leon Immense. £6 Entry!
During this time, Gizelle also produced music under the guise of ‘Rebel Yelle’ for the Liberators record label ‘Stay Up Forever’ followed by more collaborations with fellow comrades Guy McAffer ‘Geezer’, Dave The Drummer, DDR, DJ Ant and Carl Hendrickse, Lawrie Immersion on labels Stay Up Forever, Cluster, Smitten, Off The Wall and more. At the end of the 90’s Gizelle started to get more involved behind the scenes working in music distribution and for an independent vinyl pressing plant run by an underground collective, building further links worldwide, distributing UK acid/techno and running the label ‘Antidote’ whilst at Infectious Distribution. It was also through these distribution channels that she began exploring new sounds in techno and embraced the more experimental side of wonky techno.
So there you have it… Gizelle ‘Rebel Yelle’ is the real deal, a DJ with the experience and a force that comes from being a true underground legend. To this day she still remains passionate about the music, creative expression, underground parties and the communities it brings together.
New Wave of London Acid Techno Mix – Original Vinyl – Nov 2011 ;-)
As always, Bairdo had great time whipping up a this mix with these fantastic acid techno records. There are some excellent tunes around at the moment and when Stay Up Forever 100 arrived at his front door he had to get on the decks and bang out a new mix.

Roland TB-303 Bassline | The sound of Acid House & Acid Techno
If your wondering what gives Acid Techno and Acid House its unique sound then its this monophonic synthesizer: The Roland TB-303
The TB-303 was released by Roland in 1982. It is an analogue oscillator that has 2 waveforms. The TB-303 is used by programming a sequence of notes and timing. It was originally produced for keyboardists, drummers etc but was later picked up by DJs and producers because of its distinctive sound.
The TB-303 was originally used with the 606. Later it was used in line with 808 and 909.
The 2 waveforms the 303 produced was sawthorn wave (simple, single-transister waveshapeing circuit) or square wave .
It uses a simple envelope generator which has a decay control on it. The lowpass filter on it has a -24db octave attenuation and controls cut off frequency & resonance.
The acid sound was created by producers by making the TB303 overdriven to create a harsher liquid sound.
