* DJ Zebedee * International London Underground Since 1993
For all you underground techno music heads who don’t know, Zebedee is an established and highly respected techno DJ who made his mark playing on various sound systems for the underground party scene and running the legendary Trancentral party nights in mid-late 90’s. He has been djing in the London underground party scene since 1993, and is world renowned for his distinctive Hard/funky/Tribal acid sets.
His passion for DJ-ing and the free party scene began at aged 16 when he lived in a squat with a crew called The Rainbow Tribe, after helping the crew run an information stall at Tribal Energy night at the Rocket venue in north London, Zebedee (known as Zeb) landed his first gig and soon became a monthly resident at the club.
During the early/mid 90s he teamed up with mate Lawrence to form an underground system called Restless Natives, and the pair were soon organising underground squat parties all over London. Zeb’s international career began to take off around this time, when he landed his first gigs at Shambala in Vienna and at a Zilch promotions night in Amsterdam playing alongside Laurie Immersion. He also held down a monthly residency at Feverish, in Bristol’s Lakota Nightclub, and made nationwide guest appearances at Escape from Samsara, Pendragon , Havok , Eurobeat and Homegrown.
Following the success of their regular parties around London, Zeb and Lawrence launched the infamous club night, Trancentral. Hailed as London’s best underground techno night at the time, Trancentral remained a permanent fixture in the party scene, until it closed its doors in early 2001.
During their partnership , Zeb and Lawrence also started a label called ORGANGRINDER, and Zeb released his first two 12”s ORGANGRINDER 01 DOGS ON ROPE, and ORGANGRINDER 02 WIERDO MAGNET. Other artists feature on the label included Guy “Geezer” McAffer, Gizelle and Lawrie Immersion among others.
Zeb then embarked on a solo Australasian tour, which saw him play at parties and club’s throughout Australia and New Zealand. Upon returning to London Zeb carried on with the Restless Native sound system. Then in early 2003, Zeb returned to the studio and produced a highly successful 12” release with Guy “Geezer” McAffer, entitled “DJ Zebedee meets JAH Scoop” on the Hi Wire label.
Since then he has played worldwide in Venezuela, Brazil, Czech Republic, Portugal, Italy, Poland and Japan, in addition to local gigs in all over UK and Scotland, in places such as Edinburgh, Bristol, Manchester, Bournemouth, Birmingham and Southampton.

SPECIAL GUEST DJ : DUTTI B (TUNNEL CREW, BEAT BUCKET)

GIZELLE REBEL YELLE kicked off May with special guest DJ DUTTI B (short for Dutti Breakz). This month’s show was a bit of an electronic melting pot experiment, mixing up different styles from Acid to Techno to Breaks to Drum & Bass and Jungle, under the influence of DUTTI B, aka ‘AJ’.
This is a *REPEAT* recording originally recorded live on OPTICAL RADIO last week on Friday 2 May. So if you missed it, here’s another chance to listen. Enjoy.
Dutti B is known for mashing up the dancefloor with her bass driven style of phat Breaks, Drum n Bass and Jungle grooves, but she is also partial to a bit of London Acid Techno. So don’t pigeon hole this show… come and join in the fun as we break down the barriers and space travel through the realms of electronic dance! We hope you enjoy the show… Peace! X

* DUTTI B *
Dutti B, short for Dutti Breakz, is just what it says on the tin.
Her heavy bass and strong melody style of Drum & Bass matched with intelligent mixing skills, Dutti B (aka AJ) is a favourite choice for the foot loose raver.
One part of Tunnel Crew Sound System, Dutti is a forerunner of Drum & Bass in her local scene and has built up a strong following in the underground dance music movement as well as performing at premier venues such as Brixton Mass, SEOne, Clock Works (Angel), Bar Rumba (Movement), Kef (Jungle Nation), Lakota (Bristol), The Custard Factory (Birmingham), The Coven (Oxford), Play (Reading) and many, many more.
Since coming 2nd place in the Binary Motives DJ competition, judged by Pascal and Rude Bwoy Monty (Ganja Record/True Playaz), the opportunities have been endless from Djing at festivals worldwide to holding DJ workshops with aspiring young people.
Right now Dutti B is concentrating on other music projects such as managing the Acid Techno side of the Beat Bucket label along with the one and only Mark EG, moving further afield into the big world of underground dance music. Always looking for new challenges so expect the unexpected from this adventurer.
If you are an Acid Techno producer and spend most of your spare time making music then send AJ your tunes. Message her on FB https://www.facebook.com/Dutti.ness

Acid909 Acid Techno Event: Acid Halloween
In the 4th Acid909 Acid Techno Event they will be playing the best in Techno with Gizelle Rebel Yelle, DJ Spliffy B, Judda and Leon Immense. £6 Entry!
During this time, Gizelle also produced music under the guise of ‘Rebel Yelle’ for the Liberators record label ‘Stay Up Forever’ followed by more collaborations with fellow comrades Guy McAffer ‘Geezer’, Dave The Drummer, DDR, DJ Ant and Carl Hendrickse, Lawrie Immersion on labels Stay Up Forever, Cluster, Smitten, Off The Wall and more. At the end of the 90’s Gizelle started to get more involved behind the scenes working in music distribution and for an independent vinyl pressing plant run by an underground collective, building further links worldwide, distributing UK acid/techno and running the label ‘Antidote’ whilst at Infectious Distribution. It was also through these distribution channels that she began exploring new sounds in techno and embraced the more experimental side of wonky techno.
So there you have it… Gizelle ‘Rebel Yelle’ is the real deal, a DJ with the experience and a force that comes from being a true underground legend. To this day she still remains passionate about the music, creative expression, underground parties and the communities it brings together.
