Following their January rework of “Everything In Its Right Place,” the multidisciplinary trio LE YORA—comprising SOMMA, JEWELS, and YUMA—have returned with their second dispatch of the year: “NC-17.”
Named in reference to the cinema rating system, the track mirrors the collective’s obsession with visual storytelling and DIY grit. Unlike many contemporary outfits, LE YORA maintains total creative sovereignty, directing their own music videos and designing their own print magazines and streetwear.
The release comes at a pivotal moment for the group as they prepare for a landmark performance at the Coachella Yuma Tent this April, followed by a high-profile support slot for Röyksopp at Sound Nightclub in Los Angeles.
While the trio’s sound draws heavily from urban and rock influences, “NC-17” maintains a dark, driving undercurrent that fits the late-night trajectory of modern dance floors.
