Miss Mayhem spins vinyl & mixes Acid techno, Drum and Bass and Jungle. 

Her passion for mixing was born in 2004 where she started appearing at clubs and parties in Brighton. She regularly appeared at venues such as The Volks, The Concorde 2 and The Ocean Rooms where she became popular quickly. 

Since moving to the West Country in 2006 she made a name for herself at venues in Plymouth including Voodoo lounge, Maggies, The Hub, C103, The View 2, The Warehouse and Envy. She also had a residency for Dance Conspiracy at Cafe Rene in Gloucester. 

In 2016 Darkcity Sistas were formed and she became part of a b2b duo performing at venues and festivals all around the country inclcuding Leicester, London, Bristol, Devon and Cornwall.  

Miss Mayhem is now solo and still smashing events and festivals around the country with her vinyl and crowd pleasing skills…

Back in the early 90’s in a field somewhere in Scotland, a random guy told her that women would never make it as DJ’s… like a red rag to a bull she made it her mission to prove that idiot wrong and the Acidfairy was born. Acidfairy is a UK based Vinyl Acid Techno DJ and Producer. She’s been on the UK scene since the 90’s and has played all over the UK, Europe and the Americas. For over a decade she ran her own radio show on Partyvibe radio, later joining forces with her husband (Sprokit) as Under the Influence Radio, currently on Big Beats Radio. After a break away creating a techno toddler of their own, she is back with a vengeance, she’s one half of the Acid Assault Crew with Spliffy B and has residencies on Fnoob, Big Beats Radio UK, Mix Hit Radio and Siren Project as an Ambassador and guest slots on Collide, Untitled techno, Acid Scum Birds and High Voltage. 2023 sees the rebirth of Acidfairy with in real life gigs. She’s playing for FOD in May, Collide Summer Gathering in June, Working Class-tonbury Festival in June/July and Convoy Cabaret Naughty Corner in August… Guess retirement just ain’t on the cards yet….

In the early ’00s, Smay found his passion for Techno, which transformed towards Minimal over the years.

In 2005, Smay started mixing the two genres together while combining them with minimalistic HardTechno and Schranz.

In the beginning, he used digital equipment for mixing but found his love for vinyl in the year 2009. Since then, he has been solely playing vinyl.

In 2016, he discovered (UK) AcidTechno, which immediately captured his heart and represents to him the greatest music in electronic history. He interprets it as a statement, feeling, love and passion, detached from every rule of music.

In the same year, he was determined to plan his own party and, therefore, founded the label “Acid Splash”. With this label, he quickly established a name in the Swiss Techno-Scene and the AcidTechno-Scene all around the world.

Smay’s experiences range from playing in clubs and parties in Switzerland over deepest underground raves and illegal parties to well-known locations in London, Barcelona, Dublin, Sardinia and Colombia Tour
