DESCRIPTION:Pat Hurley presents the first Wired show of 2015 on RRR mixing upfront techno electro & old skool plus welcoming very special guest DJ Kenny Mulligan delivering what will be a quality set in his own style that is not to be missed. \nTune in\, turn on\, turn it up! \nwww.soundcloud.com/pathurley\nwww.soundcloud.com/kennymulligan \n————————————————————————\nDJ Kenny Mulligan \nKenny Mulligan born in the south side of Glasgow Rutherglen\,Scotland\, UK\, started experimenting with noise from an early age where i was usually found wiring up bits of equipment \, usually playing older friends and family members psychedelic and avant garde \,psyche rock until i discovered electro and hip hop\, i started DJ’ing in the early 80’s with hip hop \, at the age of 12 influenced by Kraftwerk \,can \,Jarre and the early electro sounds coming from the USA in the 80’s \,DJing at local youth clubs with a blend of abstract 60’s and electronica before moving to london \,I became involved with the early acid house movement and went out raving in 1988\,i also lived quite high up so i could receive all the pirate radio stations in London\,so i took notes and also purchased a set of Technics 1210’s\, after spending days in record shops in London buying latest Acid -New Beat -& Techno I eventually returned to Glasgow around 1989\, where i was given my first DJ set with Colin *& Mel Barr at the Batcave and sub club under 18’s as they couldn’t believe this young kid from south side came back with some gems \,then i went on to play harder and deeper acid & techno from Europe i played Industria \, the Mardi gras \, hacienda (Glasgow )\, and other nights in and around Scotland\, returning back to London and i found myself a regular in the free party scene 92> various squat party’s and industrial buildings where I progressed more into the sound of European techno \,and of course the birth of UK Acid Techno\,sound systems in UK \,not DJ’ing in them all \,but attending some of the best party’s -big shout out to virus sound system \, Jiba\, vox populi\, insanity\, Large Sallad Discoteque \, Liberators \, Spiral Tribe \, Exodus Collective\,Immersion \, and many many more who kept me moving .t .Now over the last few years ive been playing party’s such as Deep Acid \,Retro Traxx festival \,Pirate Club\,and some warehouses in London \,i’ve played on some web radio’s northen underground\,stationsonparticulier (Belgium) and a hell of a lot of others \, i like raw Techno and dark acid i can play it fast slow \,hard whatever ! … other Names i’ve worked under have been DJ Kinetic -Tripwitch and most recently again an old one i used back in 1990 – Acid Army\,soon my own productions will be released under the name Dark Art Masquerade now i co-ordinating The Acid Zone Radio monthly From Belgium and i ma champion of original acid sound of jack and the techno acid sound of Europe and the new acid wave . i hope you enjoy the sounds as much as i do \,! In 1994 he was inspired by the Dutch Hardcore\, which he heard for the first time watching the Thunderdome Compilations on French TV Channels. This was the moment that Jeff got bitten by the the Hardcore/Gabba bug. He was fascinated by this heavy music\, which inspired him to become to become a DJ. \nAfter living for years in Paris/France\, he moved to Geneva/Switzerland where he started to play House music and got his first experiences playing at local clubs and parties. The stay in Geneva was not for long\, because he soon realised that he wanted to go to London\, the dance capital of Europe. \nOn his arrival to London in 1998\, he finally found the music that fitted his personality the best: Techno. With all its flavours\, he found this sound very powerful combining house grooves and hardcore elements all in one form. He also discovered great DJs such as Carl Cox\, Mark Williams\, Ben Simms\, The Liberators and Dave Clark\, who all gave him the inspiration to play and produce dance music. He felt that Techno gave him a voice\, a direction and a lifestyle. \nIn 2000\, Jeff formed Squat Records\, a label project from him to all the real Techno Lovers. This record label became very popular on the underground scene with 7 releases. \nFollowing this\, he soon released tracks on established underground labels such as Industrial Strength\, Cluster Records\, Stay Up Forever\, Hydraulix Records\, Teknik\, Polymeric\, Men In Motion\, Vox Populis\, Hurricane\, Know Records\, Artillery Records\, Guild Records and Fenek Records. We hope you enjoy the show! \n9pm-10pm – GIZELLE REBEL YELLE\n10pm-11pm – ZEBEDEE \n————————————————————————- \n* DJ Zebedee * International London Underground Since 1993 \nFor all you underground techno music heads who don’t know\, Zebedee is an established and highly respected techno DJ who made his mark playing on various sound systems for the underground party scene and running the legendary Trancentral party nights in mid-late 90’s. He has been djing in the London underground party scene since 1993\, and is world renowned for his distinctive Hard/funky/Tribal acid sets. \nHis passion for DJ-ing and the free party scene began at aged 16 when he lived in a squat with a crew called The Rainbow Tribe\, after helping the crew run an information stall at Tribal Energy night at the Rocket venue in north London\, Zebedee (known as Zeb) landed his first gig and soon became a monthly resident at the club. \nDuring the early/mid 90s he teamed up with mate Lawrence to form an underground system called Restless Natives\, and the pair were soon organising underground squat parties all over London. Zeb’s international career began to take off around this time\, when he landed his first gigs at Shambala in Vienna and at a Zilch promotions night in Amsterdam playing alongside Laurie Immersion. He also held down a monthly residency at Feverish\, in Bristol’s Lakota Nightclub\, and made nationwide guest appearances at Escape from Samsara\, Pendragon \, Havok \, Eurobeat and Homegrown. \nFollowing the success of their regular parties around London\, Zeb and Lawrence launched the infamous club night\, Trancentral. Hailed as London’s best underground techno night at the time\, Trancentral remained a permanent fixture in the party scene\, until it closed its doors in early 2001. \nDuring their partnership \, Zeb and Lawrence also started a label called ORGANGRINDER\, and Zeb released his first two 12”s ORGANGRINDER 01 DOGS ON ROPE\, and ORGANGRINDER 02 WIERDO MAGNET. Other artists feature on the label included Guy “Geezer” McAffer\, Gizelle and Lawrie Immersion among others. \nZeb then embarked on a solo Australasian tour\, which saw him play at parties and club’s throughout Australia and New Zealand. Upon returning to London Zeb carried on with the Restless Native sound system.
