Medallion Man:
Medallion Man is co-founder, resident, and the driving force behind Loose Lips. Since its launch in October 2014, he has directed its growth into a well-respected and ever-ambitious diverse musical platform, curating all events, label releases, charity work, mix series, radio shows and directing the blog’s activities.
He also works as assistant label manager/head of publishing at the established label, 2020Vision Recordings, and label manager at Prague-based Beef Records. He also manages many up & coming producers/singers and now works as head scout for the ambitious 3tone Records (who have previously worked with the likes of Amy Winehouse & Queens of The Stone Age).
He started playing on the radio, developing a unique take on experimental and electronic music. Animating several shows on different stations during the last years, he regularly offers listeners 2 hours of varied sounds. His current output is with 199Radio, a brand new community station which he launched in April 2017, on which his Loose Lips show invites artists for guest mixes and interviews on a weekly basis.
He travels around Europe regularly, constantly expanding the cultural depth and multimedia links of Loose Lips. DJing-wise, he plays regularly around the continent, providing eclectic sets, known for excitingly switching the tempo and genres.
Brain Rays:
Brain Rays is co-founder of Devon-based art/party crew, Bizarre Rituals and one half of irreverent hip-hop duo, Baconhead. His debut cassette release ‘music for abandoned beach parties’ caught the ear of Rob Da Bank, Annie Mac & The Wire Magazine, with its grainy funk and house rhythms. Since then, he has gone on to soundtrack various film projects including Rhys Samson’s acclaimed ‘Wonderkid’. His most recent output is his Dobwalls Gateway releases – 4 in 4 months leading up to Christmas. The first, which came out a couple of weeks back, harnessed strong support from the likes of Parris Mitchell, Paul Blackford, Horse Meat Disco, Jon Dasilva & Rommek!
